Wish that was the case for me, brand new Carbon carbon, the daddy of the RPS clutches. fitted by experienced fitter who has worked on my car for 6 years and having fitted 3 clutches previously on it. Got the car of the ramp and thats as far as it got! Turned out after a great deal of time and expense to me, a break in the diaphram spring was spotted and found to be the cause of the problem. Whilst Greg/Seb were very good, RPS themselves were definately not! Bear in mind the car never made it out of tha garage AND i have been selling RPS Products for years myself, am nearly $600 down thanks to a faulty part which as it happens is out sourced by RPS. White paint marks to help pin point the break, now given where it is under the outer cover, would you have spotted it before the install ?
so definately study the parts as much as possible before your install, because once fitted, thats it, whether you have driven the car or not........ This is obviously a short version of events, but you get the picture. As a reseller of these kits myself, this experience has left me feeling very pi**ed and shafted.. cheers smithy
